uma princesa linda, independente e cheia de auto-estima.

Ela se deparou com uma rã enquanto contemplava a natureza e pensava em como o maravilhoso lago do seu castelo era relaxante e ecológico...

Então, a rã pulou para o seu colo e disse:

-Linda princesa, eu já fui um príncipe muito bonito. Uma bruxa má

lançou-me um encanto e transformei-me nesta rã asquerosa.

Um beijo teu, no entanto, há de me transformar de novo num belo

príncipe e poderemos casar e constituir lar feliz no teu lindo castelo.

A tua mãe poderia vir morar conosco e tu poderias preparar o meu jantar,

lavar as minhas roupas, criar os nossos filhos e seríamos felizes
para sempre...

Naquela noite, enquanto saboreava pernas de rã sautée, acompanhadas de

um cremoso molho acebolado e de um finíssimo vinho branco, a princesa

sorria, pensando consigo mesma:

-Eu, hein?... nem morta!

Today, I write to you about "The Ride To Conquer Cancer" which will take place June 21st and 22nd. On these two days people will be riding 200km from Toronto to Niagara Falls in order to raise funds for The Princess Margaret Hospital for cancer research. Some of the people riding have been personally affected by cancer, have known someone who has the disease or has known someone who passed away from it.

This year my brother-in-law, David White, has taken the initiative to participate in this event. He has set a goal to raise $3,200 by May, however I am confident he will surpass this amount. David has had members of his family who have died from this terrible disease over the years. I too have had family members affected by cancer, some of which have passed away and others who are now fighting this very strainious battle. The most recent person to be affected by cancer was my dad. He was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer on March 10th, 2006. The type of cancer he was diagnosed with is called G.I.S.T (Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumour). It has been a life changing experience for my dad and the entire family. It's been an emotional rollercoaster to say the least, however with support from some family members and close friends we have been able to go through each day with a positive attitude. My mom, my two siblings and I try to give my dad has much strength as we can. My dad has good and bad days and we try to bounce off each other to give him the support he needs to keep on beating cancer! POSITIVE ATTITUDE goes a long way!!!

David will not be riding, however he has volunteered for the two day event to set up tents, give out necessary food & drinks and assist in any other way needed to make this a smooth journey for everyone involved. My family and I appreciate David's participation in this event and we support him ALL THE WAY! Tempestades De Neve Em Toronto

Eu e os outros residentes de Toronto temos sido muito sortudos este Inverno porque não temos tido demasiados dias com temperaturas negativas. Em geral os dias têm sido brandos, contudo um

pouco sombrios.

Durante a semana passada tivemos três tempestades de neve. A cidade de Toronto e outras cidades próximas ficaram cobertas em neve. É tão belo e sereno ver a neve cair! É mais lindo ainda ver os sorrisos nas faces das crianças enquanto brincam umas com as outras e divertem-se!!! :))

Groundhog Day is an old Scottish legend that has been taking place for many years on February 2nd of each year.

The Groundhog comes out of its hole at around noon to look for its shadow. If the sun is out on this day, the groundhog will see its shadow and it will run back into his hole. This means that Winter will be around for another six weeks. However, if the groundhog does not see its shadow, he will stay outside. For us this means that Winter will soon be gone and Spring is on its way.

Today, Groundhog Wiarton Willie failed to see his shadow when he came out of his burrow. According to our friend Willie, we will be having an EARLY SPRING!!! ((*_*))
